Corin Hardy
Corin Hardy is a British director who first became known to us at Ramaskrik in 2015, when he attended the festival with his debut feature film, The Hallow. Since then, he has gone on to direct The Nun in the Conjuring universe, the acclaimed TV series Gangs of London, and, most recently, the horror film Whistle.
From an early age, Hardy developed a distinctive dark visual style, creating monsters, animations and Super-8 horror films before studying Theatre Design at Wimbledon School of Art. He went on to direct award-winning music videos for artists including The Prodigy, Keane, The Horrors, Paolo Nutini and Ed Sheeran, before making his feature debut with The Hallow, which premiered at Sundance and earned international acclaim.
The Nun became the highest-grossing film in the Conjuring franchise at the time, while Gangs of London became one of Sky’s most successful and binge-watched series. His latest film, Whistle, premiered as the closing-night film at Fantastic Fest in 2025 and was released theatrically in 2026.
Hardy is a good friend of Ramaskrik and joins us this year as a member of the Méliès d’argent jury. He will also introduce a special screening of Whistle.
And who knows, maybe there’ll be some other fun surprises along the way!
