The young woman Airi helps dead souls move on to the afterlife. Her work has now brought her to a large, remote house, where she meets a woman and her adult son. Together, they begin to unravel what the man haunting the house is really looking for.

What at first appears to be a traditional haunted-house story quickly takes some delightful turns and plays with different genres. Never After Dark is a well-crafted and engaging film that leaves you with a deeply unsettling feeling as the truth gradually comes to light.
