The films at Ramaskrik are presented in two short film programs selected by our programming committee and will be judged by the following jury:

Astrid Thorvaldsen is a genre-loving screenwriter and director based in Trondheim. In 2014, she attended Ramaskrik with the horror film Utburd, which she directed as part of her master's degree in film and video production at NTNU. Her short films have been screened at numerous international festivals, including Fantasia, Bucheon (BiFan), and Flickerfest.

Knut Nærum is an author, playwright, and cartoonist. He has published over thirty books across various genres, primarily crime and science fiction, with humor as a common thread. In the horror genre, he has written the novel Monster (2007), the zombie puppet show Is (2012), and the comic book Svanger (2026), illustrated by Karstein Volle. Nærum was a regular panelist on the weekly NRK satire show "Nytt på nytt" from 1999 to 2015.

Corin Hardy is a British director who first became known to us at Ramaskrik in 2015, when he attended the festival with his debut film, The Hallow. Since then, he has directed The Nun in the Conjuring universe, the critically acclaimed TV series Gangs of London, and, most recently, the horror film Whistle. He also directed award-winning music videos for artists such as The Prodigy, Keane, The Horrors, Paolo Nutini, and Ed Sheeran before making his feature film directorial debut with The Hallow.

For Ramaskrik, it is important to have the jury present during the festival, in the cinema, to watch the films as they are meant to be seen. Furthermore, it is a pleasure for us to host good friends of genre film who are well-qualified to evaluate the short films.
